Johnson & Johnson Medtech - Former Employer

Johnson & Johnson hired me to expand their Marketing Team’s ability to generate high-quality customer-facing content and provide creative direction for marketing collateral. I built out their in-house video & photography production capabilities, acquiring and setting up industry-standard equipment to capture b-roll, interviews, and product photographs. Additionally, I utilized my motion graphics and visual design knowledge to create content for the company website, social media and YouTube channels, and conference booths.

Interviews and Testimonials

Capturing the stories directly from patients and physicians was key to highlighting how robotic surgery has positively impacted people's lives. Through multiple interviews, I worked on a team that sat down and talked directly with patients and physicians as we captured their stories for others to see.

Capturing Content

One of my primary responsibilities was creatively capturing elegant and polished b-roll footage that adhered to Johnson & Johnson's brand guidelines. This job required a high amount of attention to detail to accurately depict the platform's technical offerings while showcasing its ease of use and accessibility.

Completed Patient Testimonial

While collaborating with a production partner, we produced a series of patient testimonials that featured the personal stories of patients, told in their own words, alongside those of the physicians involved. I played a key role in both creatively directing and project managing these video shoots. Below is one of the videos that came out of this project.

Animated Graphics

I utilized animation as a powerful tool to enhance Johnson & Johnson's messaging, whether by animating graphics or adding motion to text and illustrations. Some projects transformed static graphics into dynamic visuals for social media, while others elegantly integrated information into live-action footage.

Title Animation

Johnson & Johnson entrusted me with their brand by having me bring the Monarch logo to life. I initially worked on the original logo and then modified it to meet updated brand requirements.

Completed Animation Project

I created an animated video for the Monarch platform to raise awareness and generate excitement around a system update. The video was designed to be quick and impactful while showcasing the key features.

Visual Effects

My role involved finding new ways to use previously captured content of the robotic platform. I used my visual effects knowledge to modify existing assets, implement screen replacements, and digitally enhance content to meet modern demands.

Photography

I worked with production partners and on my own to capture professional photography of the robotic platform, performed post-production editing and employee portrait sessions and took event photography.

Production Setups

I was tasked with entirely building an in-house video and photography production service for the Monarch Platform. Under my direction and hands-on guidance, I established the ability to conduct onsite and on-location shoots, providing the company with a flexibility and cost-saving production solution. If a production required more than what my in-house equipment was capable of, I organized a plan and budget to either purchase the necessary equipment or work with production companies. When asked to travel to a location, I would handle packaging and shipping logistics or fly with all the equipment needed.
